On July 10, 2019, the classifier visited Lone Pine and it was at this time that Lookout received her EX-96 honors at just 5-10.<\/p>\nWhen your favorite cow in the barn calves with twins and you discover they are a mixed set, it\u2019s a moment that can often be filled with utter disappointment. When mixed twins are born, the heifer has over a 90% chance of being infertile. Fortunately, for Lone Pine Jerseys located in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada, luck was on their side and Lone Pine Cavalia Lookout was indeed a fertile heifer. Lookout\u2019s dam was Sambo Luna, already a barn favorite, scored Excellent and backed by 4 generations of VG and EX, including EX-95 Gloamin Gems Rosie 7M.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest we thought she was going to score 95, because 96 is something that you only ever dream of!\u201d commented Michael Haeni. \u201cWhen she calved looking the way she does, our excitement was heightened to say the least.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fresh in December 2018 with her fourth calf, Lookout is carrying on a family tradition of producing exceptional progeny. \u201cShe currently has daughters by Victorious and Barnabas that we are very excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lookout not only shines in the barn but also in the show ring. In 2018, she was the winning 4-year-Old and Grand Champion at the Calgary Dairy Classic Jersey Show.<\/p>\n
A very easy going cow that thrives in Lone Pine\u2019s freestall set up, she is what many would refer to as a \u201cdream cow.\u201d With one exception though – \u201cJust like her mother, she is not a big fan of getting clipped!\u201d<\/p>\n
